Introduction to Disability Awareness – Lunch and Learn
£600 for up to 100 people / £800 for up to 300 people and a recording of the session
During a typical session you will learn:
- The meaning of the term disability
- The incidence of disability
- About the social model of disability and the importance of this both to disabled people and organisations
- Some of the barriers that disabled people will face and ways we can remove these
- How to communicate appropriately about disability
Introduction to Non-visible Impairments – Lunch and Learn
£600 for up to 100 people / £800 for up to 300 people and a recording of the session
By the end of the session delegates will:
- Consider what disability means and know the incidence of disability
- Understand the social model of disability and the types of barriers that may be present in the workplace
- Be aware of some common hidden impairments (e.g Epilepsy, Crohn’s disease, MS) including a short section on neurodiversity (e.g Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia)
- Know how to communicate effectively with people about their access requirements
- Be aware of things to avoid saying to people with non-visible impairments
- Be familiar with ways to encourage people to disclose their impairments
- Have some ‘top tips’
Introduction to Neurodiversity – Lunch and Learn
£600 for up to 100 people / £800 for up to 300 people and a recording of the session
By the end of this one-hour session you will:
- Understand what and how common neurodiversity is
- Know conditions which fall under the neurodiversity umbrella
- Be aware of some of the misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity
- Be familiar with terminology linked to neurodiversity
- Be able to identify some of the barriers neurodivergent people experience and ways these can be removed
Introduction to Deaf Awareness – Lunch and Learn
£600 for up to 100 people / £800 for up to 300 people and a recording of the session
During a typical session you will learn:
- Common misconceptions about deafness
- Terminology
- Communication tactics for people who are D/deaf or hard of hearing
- Potential barriers for people who are D/deaf hard of hearing
- An introduction to BSL including greeting signs
Introduction to Reasonable Adjustments Lunch and Learn

During a session you will learn:
- Legal responsibilities under the Equality Act, 2010 concerning disability rights and reasonable adjustments
- The purpose of reasonable adjustments
- Factors to consider whether an adjustment is reasonable or not
- About the reasonable adjustment cycle

Introduction to Inclusive Events – Lunch and Learn

- Identify practical ways to make events more accessible and inclusive for disabled attendees

During this session, you will learn:
- Common barriers that disabled candidates may face during the recruitment process
- Ways to make job advertisements more accessible and inclusive
- Examples of adjustments which can be made at each stage of recruitment
- How to communicate appropriately with disabled candidates about their access requirements
Introduction to accessible and inclusive onboarding – Lunch and Learn
