Introduction to Neurodiversity Lunch and Learn

By the end of this one-hour session you will:

  • Understand what and how common neurodiversity is.
  • Know conditions which fall under the neurodiversity umbrella
  • Be aware of some of the misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity
  • Be familiar with terminology linked to neurodiversity
  • Be able to identify some of the barriers neurodivergent people experience and ways
    these can be removed.

2 hour Neurodiversity Awareness training session

By the end of this training session you will:

  • Understand what and how common neurodiversity is.
  • Know about conditions which fall under the neurodiversity umbrella
  • Be aware of some of the misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity
  • Be familiar with terminology linked to neurodiversity
  • Be aware of common traits that neurodivergent people may have
  • Be able to identify some of the barriers neurodivergent people experience and ways
    these can be removed.

Half day Neurodiversity Awareness training session

By the end of this half day training session you will:

  • Understand what and how common neurodiversity is.
  • Know about conditions which fall under the neurodiversity umbrella
  • Be aware of some of the misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity
  • Be familiar with terminology linked to neurodiversity
  • Be aware of common traits that neurodivergent people may have
  • Know how to make your workplace/service more accessible for neurodivergent people
  • Know examples of common reasonable adjustments which may be useful for neurodivergent people and practical strategies for implementing them.

FAQs

Yes, all our training is delivered in house. For face to face sessions all we need is an accessible space with ideally with audio visual equipment and chairs set up in a horseshoe shape. For virtual training sessions it’s easier if staff are on individual computers and not all in the same space.

Lunch and learns are suitable for up to 100 people. Longer training sessions are more in-depth and interactive and are suitable for up to 16 people.
