Disability access audits
An access audit – sometimes referred to as an Equality Act Audit, a Disability Accessibility Audit or a DDA Audit, is designed to evaluate how inclusive and accessible a building, environment, or service is for disabled people. Our experienced team will carry out the audit with a supportive approach and provide clear, practical recommendations to help you enhance accessibility.
Why have an access audit?
An access audit can help you to be compliant with your legal duties under the Equality Act 2010. It enables your organisation to:
Create an accessible environment and service for all
Diversify your workforce
Increase staff retention
Increase customer satisfaction and tap into the £249 billion annual spending power that disabled people have
We offer 2 types of access audits…

Walk and Talks
(1 – 2 days on site)
These are short site visits where we review the access of your organisations premises with a member of your team.
Clients are able to take notes as the audit is taking place or we can provide a very brief summary report.

Full Access Audit
(Usually 3 – 5 days on site)
This is a more in depth audit which includes a pre audit, site visits, meetings with key members of staff – for example Access Officers or Estates managers. The lengths of these audits can vary depending on requirements. A substantial report is provided at the end of the audit with recommendations.
“Enhance came in and really unpicked us as an organisation and gave us a honest and reflective audit. Not only that, they helped us implement all of the recommendations over a two year plan…”
